360 Waves made EZ

I live in Brooklyn New York, and each time I get on the train I see brothas with some crazy 360 degree waves. Seeing how tight their wave were made me want to get have some waves in my hair too, but I did not know how to do them. I went on Google and typed “waves” and I was “flooded” with all types of “waves”, from tidal waves to tsunamis. I found out later that I was looking for 360 degree waves.
The reason it is call 360˚ is because the wave are connected around the your head.
In this blog I will share with you ways of getting 360˚ waves and products you can use.

Things you MUST KNOW:
1) Some people get 360˚ waves naturally, because of their hair texture.
Someone with softer hair or like some say in the black community “good hair” will get waves mush faster than someone who has coarse hair (point blank).
2) You must be dedicated to getting good waves. That means BRUSH, BRUSH, BRUSH and some more BRUSHING. Especially if your hair is coarse like mine.

  • Small tooth comb
  • Wave inforcer brush (hard brush)
  • Soft brush
3) Brush your hair with the grain. That means the way your hair naturally grows; Just go with the flow.
Products to use for natural waves:
1) Luster’s Scurl WAVE-CONTROL POMADE (or any other wave pomades)
2) Luster’s Pink Lotion classic light. (keeps your hair moist and more manageable)
3) WaveBuilder “Brush in Waves” (Daily training lotion)
4) Durags or Stocking caps (wear your durags or stocking caps all the time when you’re in door or sleeping)
You can also speed up the process by using a kit or texturizer. For example Scurl COMB-THRU.
(You have to be very careful and follow directions when using a kit. You can get burn badly)

Products to use for quick and easy waves:
